Date

Location
Brooklyn, New York
After sitting vacant for more than a decade following a devastating fire, this landmarked Brooklyn brownstone required a full gut renovation. The design approach focused on reintroducing the home to the market with a vision that honored its historic character while bringing a sense of clarity, warmth, and modern livability.
Throughout the home, original architectural details were carefully restored and paired with timeless materials and restrained contemporary updates. Hand-cut penny tile floors, restored fireplace mantels, and dramatic arched alcoves in the primary suite echo the home’s historic language, while elements such as the oversized kitchen island and refined brass fixtures introduce a sense of quiet luxury suited to today’s buyers.
Through thoughtful planning and a curated material palette, the renovation reimagines the brownstone as a cohesive, light-filled residence that balances preservation with modern comfort. The result is a home that feels both rooted in Brooklyn’s architectural history and refreshed for a new chapter.
